About

Frank grew up in Northport, New York, a small coastal town about one hour outside Manhattan, and it was there that he started drawing and painting from an early age. Frank’s art portfolio from high school awarded him the opportunity of a lifetime, a scholarship to study fine arts at the Parsons School of Design in N.Y.C.  Moving to New York is where his true art education began; He was an accomplished and award-winning student who graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Design, Photography, and Painting.

After graduating, Frank’s professional Career in the graphic arts took off. It offered him the opportunity as a designer/creative director to work with and manage creative teams for clients PepsiCo, Heineken, SC Johnson, Kellogg’s,  Starbucks, Hershey Company, and Grand Marnier, to name a few. However, oil painting has always been his first love, and to this day, he continues to hone his painting skills by studying Painting and drawing at plein air workshops across the globe. His approach and techniques continue to be influenced by painters like Richard Schmid, Duane Keiser,
“Painting a Day,” Mark Boedges, and especially Julian Merrow-Smith, whom he enjoyed studying with this past Spring at one of his workshops in Provence, France.

In addition to painting all his life and having a successful career as a Creative Director/Designer, Frank teaches “Fundamentals of Creative Development” at Boston University College of Communication. You can view Frank’s art portfolio of work at https://www.frankoggeriart.com/

Early Spring Fog at the Orchard
A soft fog covers the orchard on a spring morning, creating a dreamlike scene around budding trees. The mist brightens the colors of the flowers and spreads a peaceful light over the land, encouraging a sense of calm to enjoy nature's beauty waking up from winter.
